I gathered some of the better photos people took of the fire and put them into a Flickr slideshow. I didn’t take some of these, and I hope you who did don’t mind me sharing them!
So, at about 2:00AM Monday morning I hear a firetruck horn and peek my head out the window. I see a fireman running down the street in front of my window and ask him what’s going on. His reply?
“There’s a fire.”
Wow. Brilliant. After he tells us to stay in our room, we promptly put our shoes on and head outside to see what the commotion is. My friend Evan and I went past the security guards, fireman, and other official-looking people across the creek to get as close as we could…and it paid off. We were literally right next to the building and got to watch the whole thing unfold from a great angle. About 30 minutes after we went outside, this is what I got on video.

Also, getting that close to the fire apparently wasn’t an issue, guys…some people have messaged me about going to jail LOL…don’t worry about me getting arrested. I was talking to a couple firemen and some TFC maintenance people who didn’t mind me being there.
